Hallowe’en in Dublin

It is widely believed that the holiday we now know as Hallowe’en originated right here in Ireland, from the ancient pagan Celtic festival of Samhain. Today, All Hallows Eve, or Hallowe’en is a night filled with fun and mischief – kids go trick or treating, everybody parties, and we all dress up!

Dublin has a fantastically haunted history with sightings of ghosts to this day – even in some pubs! The Dublin Bus Ghost Tour is a great way to brush up on this history and raise all your hairs on end, or you can take a hanuted walking tour if you want something a little bit more active. For the bravest, The Nightmare Realm is a huge haunted house in Ballsbridge that promises to terrify all who enter its doors.

This Hallowe’en night, join in the celebrations in the very centre of Dublin city, right here in Trinity Bar Venue, where we’ll have great live music until late! Come in costume and dance the night away with goblins, ghouls, vampires and werewolves. Coming with a crowd? Book in advance to save your space!
