Silly Season is Coming!

We know, we know. It’s not even winter yet – surely it’s too soon to be talking about the C-word?! No, not that one! We’re talking about… Christmas!

silly season

You’re right, it’s definitely too soon to be talking about it. BUT, it’s not too soon to start thinking about planning the office party! This is the time of year when, believe it or not, venues start booking out on the most popular dates for work Christmas parties. So, while you may not want to think about it yet, if the task of booking it falls on your head, you’d be doing yourself a favour if you start now!

When it comes to booking a venue for your staff Christmas party, there are a number of things to consider, like location, value, food, drinks, atmosphere… We can make it easy for you! Trinity Bar is located in the heart of Dublin City – within sight of Trinity College, an easy walk to the Luas and all major bus routes, seconds from several taxi ranks, and with ample parking in the vicinity. Our central location guarantees a great crowd, with a mixture of locals and visitors to Dublin, and we’ve got a great selection of food and drinks. Whether you want a full meal or finger food, artisan cocktails or beers all around, our bar and kitchen staff have you covered. So what are you waiting for? Book now!

Tastes of Autumn

There’s that distinctive nip in the air this week that tells us summer is coming to an end and autumn is closing in. We find ourselves reaching for our scarves, and thinking twice about going out without a jacket – even if the day looks promising. Weather in Dublin is especially unpredictable, and while our Fall days can be glorious, they can also be bitterly cold or bring torrential rain!

Untitled design-80

Our cravings take a turn for the cosier at this time of year too; the colourful cocktails that remind us of sunshine and holidays – think Long Island Ice Tea, Sex On The Beach, or fruity Caipirinhas – are replaced with crisp apple ciders, craft beers, and classic Old Fashioneds. We wouldn’t say no to a nip of something in a hot drink either, with the aptly named Irish Coffee making a welcome return to our go-to choices on a cold day.

Feeling inspired? Take a look at our menu, then give us a shout on 01-6794455, and we’ll get a table ready for you!

Culture Night 2016

culture night dublin

Every September, one of the biggest events in the cultural calendar in Ireland takes place… Culture Night! What started out as a relatively small event in Dublin ten years ago has grown into a significant, nationwide spectacular; an annual, all-island public event that celebrates culture, creativity and the arts. 350,000 people take part, visiting museums, cultural centres, art studios, galleries, historic houses and so much more, all across the country.

If you’re a local, Culture Night gives you the opportunity to discover new things about your home, encouraging you to dip a toe into uncharted waters. If you’re a tourist, well, you couldn’t have arrived at a better time! Culture Night is FREE, with many venues that would normally charge an entry fee taking part. While some events require pre-booking, most of them do not… The city will be your cultural playground!

This year, Culture Night takes place on Friday, September 16th. On this night, arts and cultural organisations, and venues of all kinds, extend their opening hours to allow as many people to visit as possible. As well as the usual exhibitions, unique events and special workshops are programmed just for the occasion, and everything is free of charge.

If you’re making the most of the city this Culture Night, call into us here at Trinity Bar to continue the fun! We’ll have live music on, as well as great food to satisfy that appetite you’ve worked up! Follow this link to book your table now, or you can give us a call on 01-6794455.
